Nick Cartledge,

Nick commenced his career in the banking and finance sector focusing on advising clients on wealth creation through property investing and tax minimisation. In 1996, Nick left the banking sector to establish Avion Properties. In 2007 Nick presented property investment as a substitute superannuation for Australian expats working in Asia. Nick says "Its important for Australian expats to understand the importance of insulating themselves against capital growth and inflation whilst they work abroad. Failure to have a plan could have them returning home and unable to re enter the Australian property market". Nick speaks regularly at property investing seminars throughout Asia. His knowledge and laid-back manner ensures property investing is easily understood. As Nick says, "most Australians already understand the benefits of an investment property with a tenant paying the mortgage, but our specialty is finding the right property, managing that property and explaining the tax benefits". Phil’s knowledge comes from 17 years as a financial planner with AMP. His experience covers retirement planning and superannuation plus business and personal insurance. During his time at AMP, Phil developed an understanding of property investing and the associated benefits of negative gearing. In 1999 Phil joined Nick at Avion Properties. Avion was the perfect platform for Phil to use his AMP experience and property investing knowledge to assist clients developing an investment property portfolio. Now having joined Expat Property Planners, Phil's investment knowledge is a valuable asset for expats seeking advise on investing matters.
